Dear Portland High School Families,
I wanted to give you some information about something that happened at our school today.
Our school was briefly placed on alert status at the request of law enforcement due to an unrelated police matter in the area. At no time was there a threat to PHS. During Alert Status, no recess is held, students are kept in their classrooms and instruction continues as normal.
Student safety is our number one priority here at PHS. Parents and students are a crucial part of our team. Please continue to support us in our efforts to ensure PHS is a safe place for our staff and students to work and learn.
